Monday 10 March to Sunday 16 March marks the first Living Donation Week 2025!
To mark the occasion, we will be sharing a number of inspiring stories from previous living kidney donors and recipients across our social media channels all week. We’ll also be sharing helpful information, resources and support for anyone interested in learning more about donation.
There are many activities taking place throughout the week to mark both Living Donation Week and World Kidney Day on Thursday 13 March, from organisations including NHS Blood & Transplant, Kidney Research UK, Give a Kidney, the Jain & Hindu Organ Donation Alliance, the Black Living Donor Choir, and many more. We’re looking forward to supporting everyone involved and help spread the word of the life-changing benefits of kidney donation.
If you want to get involved and help to raise awareness this Living Donation Week, please follow us @DonateAKidneyUK on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or X (formerly Twitter) and join in the conversation using the hashtag #LivingDonationWeek.
We’d also love to hear your experiences with living kidney donation. Whether you’re a living kidney donor yourself, or you’re close to someone else who has, your words and experiences can help others to understand what they can expect during their living kidney donation journey and help others decide whether they would consider donating themselves. Visit our Share Your Story page for more information.
